The 40-yard dash has become the highlight of every pre-draft workout. From the NFL scout combine to individual pro-days, Americans have developed a fascination for watching prospects stripped of pads, and often lighter than their playing weight, run full speed in a straight line. And regardless of what some critics may believe, this measurement of speed, depending on position, does have an impact on draft status.
The land of the 1,000 yard rushers. What better place to be a running back than Denver? Unfortunately, being a quarterback for the Broncos isn’t nearly as fun, just ask Jay Cutler.
David Price (SP) (TB) - I know that Price pitched great in the playoffs last year but most people will still try to avoid Tampa Bay pitchers, because Rays Pitching has historically been terrible. Price is young and his potential is very high.
If anyone says they predicted having the Cardinals in the Super Bowl last year, they’re lying. For that matter, no one even expected them to win the NFC West. Larry Fitzgerald pretty much sold me on the fact that he’s the best receiver in the game today. Sorry Chad, Terrell, Anquan, Andre, and Calvin, but when he’s breaking Jerry Rice’s playoff records, then he’s the top dog.

Before he could fully address and deny “A-Fraud” references in his clubhouse, a discovery reveals that Alex Rodriguez tested positive for banned substances in 2003, forcing the GM to lock and load for the press, and come firing with answers. And though you would think an injury and lost time for Rodriguez would bring temporary silence and a much needed period of calm, Cashman has already found a new target, this time placing best selling author, and Sports Jabber friend, Jeff Pearlman in his cross hairs.
First and Third Basemen- These two positions are very similar in the draft because some of the best fantasy picks play either 1B or 3B. You will see that many 1B and 3B go very early in the draft, such as Albert Pujols, Alex Rodriguez, Miguel Cabrera, Ryan Howard, David Wright, and more. The crucial strategy for this position is simple: you have to get them early. You need to watch out for those great 1B and 3B early in the draft and take them because it is tough to get someone good at those positions in later rounds.
