Raji, Cushing, Matthews Cleared; NFLDraftBible In Hot Water

Boston College’s B.J. Raji was said to have failed a drug test, and speculation was that it was the result of marijuana usage. Open and shut, right? Professionals making millions of dollars to accurately read drug tests couldn’t possibly botch test results, right?

Apparently, I’m wrong. And no, I don’t claim to be a drug testing expert by a longshot, but at the same time, it’s a pretty big screw up.

But not nearly as big of a screw up as the one the NFLDraftBible.com has currently accomplished. They’ve recently retracted a story that claimed Raji had indeed failed a drug test. They’ve yet to offer an apology, and in my eyes, with an urgency, they really need to.

NFLDraftBible.com is shaking in their boots, at the moment, after “reliable sources” allowed them to break the story. And now they could possibly face charges for defamation, since there are still going to be some people out there that will attest to the fact that Raji has a drug problem.

This isn’t an isolated incident, because the Draft Bible also said  University of Southern California linebackers Clay Matthews and Brian Cushing had also tested positive for steroids, which also proved to be false.

Just another case of “open mouth, insert foot.”

On that note, I’d like to extend warm tidings of good luck to all three of the young men hoping to be high first round selections.
