I’ve climbed slowly from my deathbed after a few days of what I thought may have been some crazy incurable illness to gush about Tampa Bay Rays hurlerDavid Price. I know, I missed you guys, too. The 23-year-old rookie, who began this season with the AAA Durham Bulls, earned his first big league victory Sunday
Do you believe in Magic? The Cavaliers and their fans do…now. So much for the widely-anticipated Kobe vs LeBron series. The big question now is what will Nike do with all of those new Kobe-LeBron puppet commercials (which, by the way, are hilarious). This should be an AMAZING Finals!
LeBron James did his best to advance to the NBA Finals, but he was too alone. I give him credit for his effort and amazing plays, however.
Still, LeBron clearly lacks respect and fair play for his opponents.
The Boston Red Sox seem to drop these games when its just starting to look like a win. It happened again in this game, after the Sox still had the lead after 5 innings. It was 3-2, thanks to Lowell’s hit in the first and Rocco Baldellis two run homer in the 3rd, surprising many and helping all of us in our trust with the outfield. Then in the bottom of the 3rd, Lind hit in Alex Rios, who went 4-4 for the day with two runs and two RBI’s. In the 6th, Adam Lind did it again with his solo home run to lead off the inning. Then the Red Sox fans cursed their decision to trust Rocco, as he got injured in the same inning after going into the outfield wall. His injured knee could be a major issue for the team.
Brian was a college quarterback who was drafted in the 5th round of the 1990 draft by the Washington Redskins. He was converted to running back, but did his major work as a return specialist in the NFL. Brian split return duties with 2 other players in his rookie season, but did rush for a touchdown on 15 attempts. Taking over the full time return duties the next season, Brian led the NFL with 600 punt return yards and two touchdowns.
Alright. So I expect some bad replies from this, but, I am still doing it. The most average driver in NASCAR was called to the carpet today. “It’s never Junior; it’s always the crew chief” was said about Jr by Kyle Busch.
Wyoming is in dire need of recruits, because the past few years the Cowboys have been running a country club style practices. Once new coach Dave Christensen came in for spring drills, players were out of shape and many were injured.
I can’t remember anymore the first time I rode in an elevator with 13 girls, the first time I drove three hours to watch a game only to see a lightening strike in the first two minutes, only to have to turn around and go home. I have spent a lifetime of sitting on cold bleachers, packing coolers, and I am pretty sure I helped make Gatorade the corporation it is today.
Finally, after weeks of waiting, the top prospect in baseball arrives to the majors.
Matthew Wieters, a switch-hitting elite catching prospect, will be making his major league debut on Friday against Dontrelle Willis and the Detroit Tigers.
It will be a grand day for baseball, as a new era of young stars is born. He is the first to make some noise.
It appears as though many young position prospects are attracting some attention…
Venus Williams entered the French Open as the 3rd ranked player in the world, but for the third straight year she has fallen in the third round. This year she was blasted by Hungary’s Agnes Szavay 6-0, 6-4.
