Arizona Diamondbacks third/first baseman Mark Reynolds has been named NL Co-Player of the week along with Colorado Rockies closer Huston Street.
Reynolds had a slugging percentage of 1.000, five doubles, three home runs over the past week.
Too bad we didn’t have seven other Mark Reynolds in the starting lineup. We could also use a guy like Huston Street as the Dbacks bullpen had another rough week along with a couple starters.
This is the first time Reynolds has won the honor. Even more amazing that he wins this award as he is quickly approaching 100 strikeouts at the plate as well and we still have four weeks until the All-Star break. It’s sink or swim with this guy and it isn’t going to change anytime soon.
