Lester Controls Game As Red Sox Win, 4-0

The road trip that some would say could be the key to holding the AL East until the All Star Break had been a success so far, the team had gone 2-1 verse both teams so far, and 4-2 overall.
Now they came into Baltimore, the Fenway of the South due to the same winds inside and the amount of Red Sox fans that migrate south to the games.
Jon Lester, the already experienced young pitcher, faced a rookie 26 year-old pitcher named Jason Berken. He has struggled so far, going 1-4 and only pitching more than five innings twice in his six starts.
Meanwhile, Jon had caughten on fire. At the moment, he had become a strikeout machine, and his record had jumped. In his last five games he had 44 K’s, and its a weird thought to say hes younger than Jason Berken.
Eight pitches into the game, Jason Berken had already given up a run. J.D Drew knocked a triple on the third pitch, and on the eighth Pedroia hit J.D Drew into home with a single.
Meanwhile, Lester got to work. In the first he got K Number 1, and another in the 2nd. For the four first innings, he was getting one strikeout each one.
The Sox were getting one run per inning, as the Sox scored 3 runs in the 4th inning, capitalized by J.D Drew’s two-run homer.
It seemed that the Sox had quickly taken a strong lead, at 4-0.
In the 5th inning, all three outs for Lester were strikeouts. He was absolutely dominating the Orioles lineup.
Jon Lester was done pitching after 7 innings, he had pitched very well as he gave just 5 hits, no runs and 8 K’s. His record improved to 7-6, as Jason Berken took the loss to go to 1-5 after pitching only 5 innings. Thankfully, his bullpen was perfect.
Delcarmen and Okajima split the 8th inning for the Sox pitching, but with two outs and two on Ramon Ramirez was taken out of the game for the Sox and was replaced by saver Jonathan Papelbon. Pap needed just three pitches, and the Sox won the game, 4-0.
The Sox improve to 5-2 on the road trip, and seem to be playing very well on both sides. Its a great day to be a Sox fan.
