Yes, that time is almost upon us. While we’re waiting, let’s embark on a journey to preview each and every team in the association.

Just so we’re clear, we won’t make any promises about how we’ll treat your beloved franchise. We may praise them. We may mock them. Just be certain that we will preview them in some sort or fashion.

Time to talk a little Memphis Grizzlies.

How did they fare last season? The Grizzlies finished 24-58, but you could really see the improvement on the court.

Who gets to call Memphis their new home? Hasheem Thabeet (2nd pick in the draft), DeMarre Carroll (27th pick in the draft), Sam Young (36th pick in the draft), Allen Iverson, Marcus Williams, Steven Hunter, Zach Randolph

Who can’t call Memphis home anymore? Quinton Ross, Hakim Warrick, Greg Buckner, Darko Milicic, Quentin Richardson

Who should be the starting 5?

PF Zach Randolph
SF Rudy Gay
SG O.J. Mayo
PG Allen Iverson

The outlook for the season: If the Grizzlies were in the East, they would definitely be a playoff contender. But since they are in the West, they are guaranteed another season of missing the playoffs.

With that said, the Grizzlies are really moving in the right direction. Their core of young guys will greatly benefit from the additions of Allen Iverson and Zach Randolph. I know you don’t believe that, but you just watch. This team will be one of the most exciting and improved teams in the league. Especially if this guy continues to do things like this.
