Yes, that time is almost upon us. While we’re waiting, let’s embark on a journey to preview each and every team in the association.

Just so we’re clear, we won’t make any promises about how we’ll treat your beloved franchise. We may praise them. We may mock them. Just be certain that we will preview them in some sort or fashion.

Let’s see what we can come up with for the Indiana Pacers.

How did they fare last season? The Pacers ended last season 36-46.

Pacers’ new additions: Tyler Hansbrough (13th pick in the draft), A.J. Price (52nd pick in the draft), Luther Head, Dahntay Jones, Solomon Jones, Earl Watson

Pacers’ subtractions: Maceo Baston, Marquis Daniels, Jarrett Jack, Rasho Nesterovic, Jamaal Tinsley

Who should be the starting 5?
C Jeff Foster
PF Troy Murphy
SF Danny Granger
SG Dahntay Jones
PG T.J. Ford

The outlook for the season: If you’re a Pacers fan that’s excited about the upcoming season, don’t be. Don’t get me wrong, the Pacers won’t have the worst record in the East. But if you’re looking for vast improvement, you’re going to be disappointed.

When you look at this roster, you have to wonder how the Pacers plan to compete with the rest of the Central Division, as well as the Eastern Conference. The roster has some good, not great players (With the exception of Danny Granger, maybe). And it’s hard to compete in the NBA with just good players. I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure I’m right.

On cue, here are the Pacers’ top 10 plays from last season. It’s filled to the brim with some good, not great plays.
