Cleveland not only acquired a starting center in Shaquille O’Neal, but he may also become a special deputy of the state.

O’Neal has showed interest in law enforcement while with some of his previous teams in Miami and Phoenix. Now he has his sights set on Cleveland.

According to John O’Brien, spokesman of the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office, Shaq has already applied to become a special deputy.

If approved, O’Neal will have to complete 36 hours of training and pass the Ohio state police exam. Though he won’t be a paid employee, he will be allowed to carry a gun.

Great news if you’re a Cavs fan, your starting center is more focused on being a ‘fake’ cop than on helping your team win a championship. The Cavs are currently 0-2.
