It is said by Ken Rosenthal that OF Johnny Damon will be seeking a 2yr/$19M deal for any team. Damon had a good year (.284 24 HRs; 82 RBIs) at 35 years of age. The Yankees believe Damon is heading for a decline, but may still negotiate with him.

Boston OF J.D. Drew has undergone surgery on his left shoulder. If it was his right, the club could’ve opted out of his contract if he spent more than 35 days on the DL. Drew is in the fourth year of a five year deal.

The Royals picked up C Vance Wilson and reliever Jorge Campillo. The A’s signed 3B Dallas McPherson.
