Silence has ended, and it’s now officially “on”.  Just hours after posting about a rivalry week lacking the pregame chatter, the UCLA campus is buzzing with anger and disappointment.  Despite precautions and volunteers to guard the massive on campus statue of their beloved Bruin bear, Trojan vandals have struck, giving the fixture that must needed cardinal and gold makeover. The perpetrators cut a hole in the top of the protective tarp , spilling their mixtures of paint from above.

Students have been camping out on the Southern California campus, defensing Tommy Trojan from similar attacks.  USC has drawn first blood.  UCLA is now on the clock.
