Joe McKnight will forgo his senior season and enter the NFL draft. This would have been shocking news a month ago, but after a vehicle, ineligibility, and weeks of silence, it becomes the logical choice.

There was too much uncertainty surrounding the tailback’s future at Southern California, after the L.A. Times printed their story of the mystery Land Rover, which inevitably led to McKnight missing the Emerald Bowl. It was a little more than a month ago that he assured  a Trojan return in pursuit of his Heisman winning goal. The only occurrence between then and now is the university’s probe, which he claims to have had no effect on his decision.

McKnight topped 1000 yards rushing as a healthy  junior, which was his best single season of his 3-year stay.
