Senior Bowl: Day One

Day 1 – Monday
All that was televised today was the North practice. Here are a few notes that I took.
Four players really stood out to me. Taylor Price, Kyle Wilson, Cam Thomas and Brandon Graham.
Graham has an explosion off the snap and is very quick. Solid speed for a guy his size. He does have small arms, but it didn’t seem to phase him much. Potential 3-4 SOLB.
Cam Thomas looks like a prototypical nose tackle. He’s big and mean and has a great push at the line. His bull rush was awesome in driving the lineman back.
Taylor Price seemed like possibly the best wide receiver on the north squad. He made great adjustments and caught the ball with his hands. He made a few big plays in the 1-on-1 drills.
Kyle Wilson was lock down in 1-on-1. The only time I saw him give up a catch was due to the fact that they’re playing off man in these drills.
A solid battle ensued on the line drills between Jared Odrick and Jon Asamoah. Solid back and forth that is going to be interesting to watch all week. The more I watch Odrick I see either a 3 or 5 technique.
LaGarrette Blount is a physical beast. He came in at close to 6’1″ and weighed a healthy 245 lbs. When I say healthy, I mean he is in amazing shape for that size at running back.
That’s as much as I could gather from the commercial filled presentation today.
