Interview with New Baltimore Mariners Cheerleader Jane Wettstein

What a difference a week can make in your life! Just a few weeks ago, I interviewed then Mariner Cheerleader hopeful Jane Wettstein, just 2 days before her audition with the team. Here is that story link
Today if you log onto her Facebook page under her pic, a very catching phrase appears…Realtor, Baltimore Mariners Cheerleader. Thats right, Jane Wettstein is now a Baltimore Mariner Cheerleader. Now she will be using ink pens not only to pay her bills, but to sign autographs with them as well! I recently had a chance to interview the newest Mariner Cheerleader, and here is what she had to say….
Tim Lumber: How excited was your family when they heard the good news, that you made the Baltimore Mariners Cheerleading Squad?
Jane Wettstein: Everyone is very excited, they know how long this has been a goal of mine (for about 7 months) and how I’ve been training since I saw the team perform last season. My little sister Elsa (10 years old) is a competetive dancer, she lives in New York and has a competition this year in DC. We’re both excited about taking a picture together in our uniforms. I have lots of family local as well and they’re all planning on coming March 14th!!! I can’t wait.
Tim Lumber: You are now a Pro Teams Cheerleader, has it sunk in yet, or does it still feel like a dream?
Jane Wettstein: I’m feeling on top of the world. This is something I wanted so bad. I’m also aware of the responsibilties that come with this position and prepared to take them on.
Tim Lumber: Have you bought a new ink pen yet? You are going to get lots of autograph requests after Mariners games this season.
Jane Wettstein: Not yet, but if what you say is true I’ll be ready and flattered!
Tim Lumber: Last but not least. Where does this rank up… with other things you have accomplished in your life?
Jane Wettstein: This is definitly at the top of the list. Dancing is simply one of my favorite things to do. This ranks up with making the “Towson State Dance Team”, being selected to head my division in boot camp (US Navy) and finally, while in the Navy being selected as “Sailor of the Quarter” while stationed in London. All intimidating yet rewarding experiences.
