Mavs lose third of the season to pesky Blazers

Trailblazers 101 Mavericks 89
Record: 47-25
Starting Lineups:
Jason Kidd, Caron Butler, Shawn Marion, Dirk Nowitzki, Erick Dampier
Andre Miller, Brandon Roy, Nicolas Batum, LaMarcus Aldridge, Marcus Camby
What you need to know:
- Erick Dampier was in the starting lineup for the second consecutive game. Oddly enough, Damp only played eight minutes while the loyal employee – Brendan Haywood – was on the court for 35 minutes.
- The Mavs got to the line a mere nine times compared to Portland’s 26 trips.
- Caron Butler broke out of his shooting slump scoring 25 points (11-19 FG, 1-4 3FG, 2-3 FT).
- Dirk Nowitzki wasn’t great. He shot 5-of-13 from the field and only made four trips to the charity stripe en route to scoring 15 points.
- It was a great defensive night for the Mavs. The Blazers shot 50% and were able to get to the basket at will. Hoping this isn’t becoming a trend.
- Thursday night’s loss in Portland brings the Mavs record versus the Blazers this season to 0-3.

The Mavs take Friday off then head to Oakland to take on the Warriors.
Until next time…
Peace. Be good.
