Cowboystd’s NBA Power Rankings 4/5/10

With 1 and a half weeks left in the regular season, the playoffs are right around the corner.
1. Cleveland Cavaliers (60-17)
Cleveland is one of just 12 teams in history to post consecutive 60-win seasons. And nine of its 11 predecessors won at least one championship; Dallas and Utah are the only exceptions.
2.Orlando Magic (54-23)
Magic are on a quiet 15-3 roll and rank as the only team in the league to beat the other 29 teams.
3. L.A Lakers (55-22)
To panic or not to panic? That is the question in L.A as the Lakers have been struggling as of late. Especially yesterday in their loss against San Antonio (
) All Lakers fans can hope for is that this team gets back on track come playoff time and when they get Bynum back and healthy.
4. Phoenix Suns (50-27)
The Suns were on an im pressive 10-game win streak before they lost on the road to the Bucks. But now looking at the rest of their schedule they play Utah, Thunder, and the Nuggets. It’s going to be a tough way out of the season, now let’s see if this team is for real or not heading into the playoffs. Oh and by the way, their’s a 4 way tie in the west between the 2-5 seeds at 50-27.
5. Utah Jazz (50-27)
Finishing the season on a strong note, but can this team win in the playoffs? I think so.
6. OKC Thunder (48-28)
It’s amazing how good this team has been and how good they got so fast. All thanks to Kevin Durant who should be in talks for the MVP.
7. Atlanta Hawks (49-27)
The race was between the Hawks and the Celtics to avoid a first round matchup against the Hot Bucks, but now with Bogut out for the season, it might be easier to face the Bucks afterall.
8. San Antonio Spurs (47-29)
With the flop machine…. i mean Manu’s high scoring performances, the Spurs have beaten the Cavs, Celtics, Mavs, and Lakers.
9. Portland Trail Blazers (47-30)
The Blazers are a team you might want to try and avoid in the first round. But who seriously believes that the Blazers can upset the Lakers in round 1? ![]()
10. Dallas Mavericks (50-27)
on a 5-6 funk, that 13-game winstreak seems like a millenium ago.
