Some know this, some don’t but a few years ago I worked on a Patriots Board with Jeff, Mike, TJ and Nick..aka GG5. They were some of the best times I have had EVER. So this interview was fun for me and a look back at an old friend….

SO….if you could only folllow one sport for the rest of your life….Patriots or Red Sox?

I couldn’t possibly choose. The Sox will always be my first love, but I enjoy watching the Patriots more…if that makes any sense. I rely on both extremely heavily (double adverb? ) throughout the year. I couldn’t possibly make through the winter with football…but I also couldn’t make it through the spring and summer without baseball.

Favorite all time Sox player?

You know…I became a baseball fan at such a choice time. I was able to witness one of the best pure hitters and one of the best pitchers of all-time. Not to mention I was able to see another tremendous hitter in Manny…another in Ortiz. Not to mention seeing McGwire hit 70. (Fuck Bonds.) I’d like to say that it’s a toss up between Nomar and Pedro, just to give Pedro his proper respect, but it’s Nomar and it isn’t close. I cannot stress how much of a role model he was to me when I was in Little League.

I’d also like to say that I pride myself on having obscure favorite players…for example, some of my past favorites have included Jeff Frye, Manny Delcarmen and Darren Lewis.

Have you ever been to a game?

Several. Most recently I went with my friends for senior skip day. Memorable experience…scalped seats behind homeplate for only 75 bucks…incredible seats…horrible game. Sox lose 3-0. Nothing worse than a shutout…with Wakefield pitching. That game was almost two years ago…I really gotta go back soon.

Drafting for need, who would you like to see the Patriots pick up in the draft?

I’ll be completely honest…I couldn’t name 10 college football players. I’ll leave the draft discussion to Mike and co. Not Tebow. That’s all I’ll say.

You are a big movie buff…what was the first movie you remember instinctively analyzing rather than viewing?

Very good question…I’ve written short reviews for a while, but haven’t really gone in depth until recently. In my understanding of analyzing, it’s when I actually sit in a movie and will jot stuff down on paper. If that’s the case then the first one that I dissected was It’s Complicated, LOL. My first extensive, paragraph review was Shutter Island and my first official review was for The Last Station. Since then, I’ve tried to make all of them look legit.

What do YOU look for a in a good movie?

To me, performances take in a long way…but not all the way. I like a movie that tries to be different. I feel that if it contains elements I’ve seen before then it better be extremely funny or have some sort of characteristic that makes it different from many other.

Where are you going to school and what is your major?

I’m at UMass Amherst right now. I thought about transferring last year, but now I think I’m here for the long run. I’m officially undeclared, but I’m hoping to get a B- in one final class this semester then I’ll officially be listed as a Comm major. Besides that…who knows. I still don’t really have any direction.

What do you like to do away from here?

Most of all, I like being home. I love being in the presence of my family. That’s where most of my best memories are formed. But if I HAVE to be at school…reading, watching movies, traveling to the mall, walking around, sleeping…nothing mind-blowing, especially at a party school like UMass.

You have talked about your family, what is one thing you’d like to take from them and pass on to your own kids someday?

If I have kids (and that’s doubtful…I’m talking Brady returning in Week 2 after the hit from Pollard type doubtful) then I want them to understand just how important it is to spend time with each other. Childhood goes fast, too fast. One day you’re walking down the left field line talking to your dad before pitching a win-or-go-home Little League game, the next you’re entering high school and the next you’re waving good-bye to your parents as they drop you off at college. The times from early childhood to true independence are SO key. There’s no need to be a dick teenager who doesn’t truly appreciate his/her parents just like there’s no reason to be a bratty, spoiled little kid. Live to love, respect and appreciate everyday and you won’t believe how much you’ll feel you’ve lived when the day comes that you have to fend for yourself.

And the relationship continues after that. It’s easy to go off and do your thing at college, but stay in touch and never let go. (You know…in a healthy sense.)

Any summer plans?

I’ll probably head back to my job at the movie theater. I’ve got to rebuild my bank account which is currently at 5 dollars, LOL. But besides that…probably just hanging out with my friends, spend time with my family, think NOTHING of school and, above all, SLEEP.

Favorite food: Chicken tender calzone. Try it. It will CHANGE. YOUR. LIFE. T4V. I’M LOOKING AT YOU.
Favorite color: Red.
Favorite saying: “I’m B0RED.”
Favorite movie: O Brother, Where Art Thou? or Ocean’s 11.

Okay guys….who’s nexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxtttttttttttt???
