Who should the Chiefs take with their first round pick this year?
Which player impressed you the most during your career?
Tomasz “Goral” Adamek (41-1, 27 KO’s) defeated Chris “The “Nightmare” Arreola (28-2, 25 KO’s) by a 12 round majority decision at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California. The official scores were 114-114, 115-113 and 117-111. The victory marked Adamek’s 10th consecutive win.
When looking at the Miami Dolphins’ 2010 NFL Draft, you have to take a few things into consideration. The Miami Dolphins spent their 2nd round pick this year on wide receiver Brandon Marshall. Marshall is arguably one of the top 3-5 receivers in the league and will instantly help out young quarterback Chad Henne…
The irony is this. Marian Hossa got a 5 minute major for shoving Dan Hamhuis from behind into the boards. The question is should he have gotten a game misconduct as well? The answer is probably yes though some would disagree. What became the cruelest stroke of happenstance is the simple fact that Hossa got [...]
Right from the start let me say that I love Ken Griffey Jr. Without a doubt, he is one of the all-time greats to play the game (so far).
I had to throw the qualifier in because he seemingly has become one of those greats that tarnish their own legacy by playing years past their expiration date. If he was a carton of milk and you drank him, you’d get food poisoning and maybe die.
After suffering a one-sided defeat to Andre Ward in his last bout, Mikkel Kessler (43-2, 32 KO’s) responded superbly, winning a 12 round unanimous decision against Carl Froch (26-1, 20 KO’s) in Group Stage 2 of Showtime’s “Super Six” Tournament. The official scores were 117-111, 115-113 and 116-112.
Kessler, 31, and Froch, 32, battled fiercely the [...]
The San Diego Chargers entered the 2010 draft targeting running back and defensive tackle as the greater needs. They exit the event with new names and faces to add to the roster, and we begin our assessment of whether those needs were met.
The Trade:
How much has the game of football changed since you played in the NFL? Is it a good change?
The players are bigger, stronger and faster. The rules have opened up the opportunities for the offense, particularly in the passing game. The equipment is much better but I sometimes wonder if it actually leads to more severe injuries.
To say that the 2010 NFL Draft has been a surprise would be an extreme understatement.
The first round of the draft featured the most trades in NFL draft history, and rounds two and three were not far behind.
Who’s in charge of the Red Sox? Its a valid question considering how they have played this year. The rotation is not living up to the hype or their paychecks. Its hard to know where to start, but I’ll say David Ortiz, the DH. He is currently batting .146 with ony 2 RBI’s and 0 HR’s and for $13M, that is not acceptable.
I realize he had a slow start last year also, but this one feels different.
