USC Can Thank Nebraska for the Start and End of Its “Dynasty”

Okay. First of all, I need to make it perfectly clear that I don’t think USC is going to just tank and not win any games ever again. They are good and will be good for a long time.

What I am here to tell you is that the firing of Frank Solich at Nebraska and the cut of their walk-on program had much deeper and profound effects on the world of college football than anyone has ever thought of.

There was once a day when Nebraska was at the top of the college football world. They were so good that they came within just two or three wins of five national titles in a row.
