There have been a total of 20 perfect games in MLB history. Last night their should have been number 21 but first base umpire Jim Joyce blew an obvious call to ruin the moment for Galarraga. And the face Galarraga had described how I felt when he made that call. I was shocked. In awe that he took that away from him. And I was furious after seeing the replay. Nothing in my life as an MLB fan that didn’t effect my team has infuriated me that much.

A day later though, umpire Jim Joyce admits he is wrong. It doesn’t help the fact that Joyce robbed a perfect game from him but it does show that replay is needed and that Major League Baseball needs to step in. Bud Selig needs to give Armando Galarraga his perfect game.

It is criminal to take something so historic from a player. It wouldn’t be right to go on with Galarraga’s infamous 1 hitter.

Umpires make mistake. There is human error involved, but Joyce admitted after watching a replay he was wrong(after watching the replay there is no way he could say any different).

I hope the Selig gives Galarraga his perfect game. It would be the right thing to do and I don’t think anyone would have a problem with it.
