Jamaal Charles in the upcoming Season

During the camps and mini-camps, we seem to hear a lot of news about the young Draftees, the players who are injured, the ones in trouble, or having trouble making the grade, and the ones refusing to attend their teams camps.
However, just try to pull up news on players who have been doing well. I mean, if you’re interested about the progress of someone who had done a good job the year before, and is expected to do well again, just try to get solid info on them. It’s darn near impossible.
So, I give my opinion, with reasons to back it up.
The good money is on Charles in 2010. Now, the fact that he and Thomas Jones are sharing carries this season may make him something of a risk if you are into Fantasy Football, but even so, not a big one. In the last 8 games of the 2009 season, (post LJ), Charles ran the ball for close to 1000 yards.
Frankly, in spite of sharing carries, I believe that he could have a 1500 – 2000yard year. Seriously, how many of you have WATCHED him run? The man turns on a dime at full speed. He has long strides that send him gracefully striding for his goal, whether that be the 10 yard pick up or into the end zone.
I know that the Chiefs have had some amazing RB’s over the years. Marcus Allen, Priest Holmes and Larry Johnson, just to name a few. But after watching Charles, it is my belief that he has the ability to equal the abilities of any one of them, and perhaps, just perhaps, to push his abilities even farther.
