The inevitable has occurred. Dan Haren has been traded. He is now a member of the Los Angeles Angels. One of the players the Arizona Diamondbacks will receive in return is Joe Saunders.

It could have been worse, but I don’t know if there is anything better than just hanging on to Haren.  I’m a little more than disappointed the Dbacks didn’t hang onto him.  Clearly Haren was not the reason why this team has tanked, although he is not have a Dan Haren-like season.  This move had to be financially motivated.  Granted, the Dbacks are getting players in return who can help now, but I still don’t like it.
