The phrase “cancer awareness” seems odd. After all, who among us has not been touched by cancer? All of us know someone, love someone or are someone who has had to live with and battle this terrible scourge on humanity.

In fact, all of us at SJ are touched by this disease through its attack on one of our own – NYSR. For that reason (and so many more), we are asking you to join us in fighting back however you can.

All month long, we will post special articles, links, ideas and uplifting stories of survival so that we all can benefit and reach out to those who need our help. Join us in learning how to help those who are in the midst of battle. And do your part as well.

Maybe you can help financially, maybe not. But there is something you can do to lessen the burden they carry every day. And that’s what “cancer awareness” is all about – learning how you can help.
