A quick fantasy note before everyone barbecue’s for the last time and girls wear white pants for the last time. As I have said many times before, white pants in the spring/summer is the best fashion trend ever. Sad to see it end in September.

Now to a guy who I really don’t particularly care to see in white pants, but you might want him on your fantasy team for the stretch run. It looks like Juan Gutierrez has cemented himself as the closer in Arizona.

Gutierrez notched his third save in four days last night and despite having a 5.83 ERA on the season, he has a 1.30 ERA and has held opponents to a .132 average over his last 13 appearances. He also picked up four saves during that time frame.Add new tagJ

If you need a closer for the playoffs, consider Gutierrez as a low-end No.2 fantasy closer.
