“BUT THEY ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE! AND WE LET ‘EM OFF THE HOOK!”
Everybody who has been an NFL fan since 2005 knows about Dennis Green’s temper tantrum after the Chicago Bears squeaked past the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football in the 2006 season.
Dennis Green was the head coach for the Arizona Cardinals, [...]

A person with direct knowledge of the decision tells The Associated Press that TCU is moving from the Mountain West Conference to the Big East after the 2011-12 academic year. The person would not comment publicly because the decision had not been announced.
The Horned Frogs would begin football play in the Big East for the 2012 season. TCU will join in all sports,[...]

It’s been over a week since Derek Jeter and the New York Yankees have talked business.
The team offered the All-Star shortstop a $45 million, three-year deal, but that wasn’t quite good enough for his agent, Casey Close. Apparently, he and Jeter are looking for something in the ballpark of $25 million over six seasons.
That would put him around 42 years old [..]
Jason La Canfora of NFL Network is reporting that Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson and Tennessee Titans cornerback Cortland Finnegan have both been fined $25,000 by the NFL for fighting during Sunday’s game.
Neither player was suspended, which is a relief to both teams because both players are stars at their position. Jim Wyatt of the Tennesssean wrote on twitter [...]
We may have seen the last of Chris Peterson at Boise State.
After Boise State was upset by Nevada in overtime Friday, I wonder if this will be the last season Chris Peterson coaches at Boise State. He has taken Boise State to highs that they will not see again. The media is already against them, so they won’t be ranked as high anymore. The other thing worth mentioning is that Boise State opens the season against a loaded[...]
1. Fisher has probably lost this team. This team seemed to have more faith in VY than they did Fisher. I’m beginning to honestly wonder who was in the wrong last Sunday vs the Redskins..Fisher or Young? It appears that a lot of people on this team believe Fisher after the effort today.
CJ just didn’t seem like he gave a shit. The effort all around was lack luster[...]
I’ve had numerous friends come up and bust me about the contract saga with Derek Jeter and the Yankees. I shoot them down by one by one assuring them Jeter will be back in a Yankees uniform, and not a Boston one. After all this is the face of the Yankees. He’s what makes us Sox fans jealous. The thought of him leaving the Yanks is just simply un-American! The Yanks have offered Jeter a three year/$46M contract [...]
