Johnson, Finnegan Fined $25,000 Each

Jason La Canfora of NFL Network is reporting that Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson and Tennessee Titans cornerback Cortland Finnegan have both been fined $25,000 by the NFL for fighting during Sunday’s game.
Neither player was suspended, which is a relief to both teams because both players are stars at their position. Jim Wyatt of the Tennesssean wrote on twitter “Doing the quick math: Johnson fined roughly $8,333 per punch, and Finnegan a straight $25,000 for taking punches.”
Finnegan has already been fined four times this season, and Brian McIntrye of Mac’s Football Blog suggests that the NFL fined Finnegan based on his reputation as a dirty player.
I am not a fan of Cortland Finnegan, the player gets on TV more because of his fights than he does because of his play, and that is not a good thing.
