Milla’s Top 10 Orlando Magic players of all time

I am out of class, and with spring break next week I have no real homework so I’m bored and decided to write this out for the hell of it. Comments welcome. 
10.Dennis Scott (1990-1997)
Scott is the most prolific three point shooter in Orlando Magic history. His 981 threes made are the most in franchise history by a solid margin and his .403 three point shooting percentage is third in franchise history behind Cuttino Mobley and Courtney Lee, both of whom had short lived Magic careers. Scott was the outside shooter who stretched the floor for Shaq during the first successful years of this franchise and will always own an important piece of franchise history.
9.Hedo Turkoglu (2004-2009, 2010-present)

Turkoglu has seen the post productive years of his career in an Orlando Magic uniform. His 15.4 points per game with Orlando is tied for 9th in franchise history, above his career average of 12.1. He has hit many game winning shots in clutch moments and was a huge part of the 2009 Magic team that advanced to the NBA Finals. Hedo is top 10 in franchise history in games played, minutes played, field goals, three point field goals, free throws made, rebounds, assists, and steals.
8.Horace Grant (1994-1999, 2001-2003)

Grant was the first big free agent pickup in Orlando Magic history. After coming over from Michael Jordan’s Bulls, Grant provided the Magic with a tough for man to rebound and hit the outside jumper next to Shaq. Grant’s presence was a huge part of the Magic’s rise to an elite level in the ’90s. Grant ranks 4th in team history in total rebounds, and his 8.5 rebounds per game also ranks 4th in franchise history.
7.Rashard Lewis (2007-2010)

Lewis was signed to the largest contract in Orlando Magic history in the summer of 2007, and he certainly had a huge impact on the team. His presence elevated Orlando back to the 50 win plateau for the first time since 1996, and he played a huge role during the Magic’s 2009 Finals run. His sharp shooting from outside plus his length created many mismatches for Orlando during his tenure in a Magic uniform. His 658 three point field goals are 4th in team history, and his .399 percentage from three is 5th in Magic history, his 16.3 points per game in an Orlando uniform is good for 8th in team history.
6.Darrell Armstrong (1995-2003)

One of the most loved players in Magic history, Armstrong was the face of Orlando’s “heart and hustle” era. His 502 games in an Orlando Magic uniform is 4th in team history, and his 2,555 assists is good for 2nd in Orlando history. Armstrong also ranks 8th in franchise history in points scored.
5.Nick Anderson (1989-1999)

The very first draft pick in team history, Anderson is the ultimate Magic iron man. He’s played more games in a Magic uniform than anyone else (692) and leads the franchise record books in multiple categories. Including games played, minutes played, field goals made, steals and points scored. He also ranks top 5 in threes made, free throws made, rebounds, assists and blocks. Anderson also owns arguably the greatest moment in franchise history, his famous steal of Michael Jordan during the 1995 playoffs.
4.Penny Hardaway (1993-1999)

One of the more iconic figures in Magic history, Penny teamed up with Shaq to form the first elite team in Orlando history and lead the Magic to their first Finals appearance in 1995. Penny is 5th in team history in points scored and his 19.0 points per game is good for 4th in team history. Penny is also one of seven players in franchise history to be named to an All Star game, and only one of five to be named to multiple All Star games.
3.Tracy McGrady (2000-2004)

The most prolific scorer in Orlando Magic history, T-Mac’s 28.1 points per game in an Orlando uniform ranks #1 in team history. He owns the record for most points scored in a game in a Magic uniform, when he dropped 62 points on the Wizards on March 10th, 2004. He also owns the record for most points scored in a Magic playoff game with his 46 scored agaisnt the Pistons in 2003.
2.Shaquille O’Neal (1992-1996)

The first star in Orlando Magic history, literally, Shaq was the first Magic player named to an All Star game in 1993. His 27.2 points per game with the Magic ranks 2nd in team history, and he ranks 2nd in blocks and rebounds in team history. O’Neal also made the 3rd most field goals of any player in a Magic uniform and the 3rd most free throws. Shaq was the centerpiece of the Magic’s first playoff and NBA Finals appearances and holds a huge piece of Orlando Magic history.
1.Dwight Howard (2004-present)

Dwight has quickly become the face of the Orlando Magic with his dominant defense and rebounding. He ranks 1st in Magic history in free throws made, rebounds and blocks. He also ranks in the top 5 in games played, minutes played, field goals made, field goal percentage, steals, and points. His 12.8 rebounds per game rank tops in Orlando history, and he was the centerpiece to a 2009 Finals run while helping the Magic get approval to build their brand new state of the art arena.
