What should the Giants do with Tiki Barber?

News broke earlier today that former New York Giants running back Tiki Barber has filed his papers to return to the NFL. After giggling a bit, I realized that he isn’t a free agent. ESPN’s Adam Schefter and others have said that the Giants still own the rights to Tiki.
So what should the Giants do with him?
Tiki was a great player when he was with the Giants. The key word there is was. It’s been four years since Tiki has set foot on a football field. I guess seeing his former team win the Superbowl without him, seeing his brother Ronde sign a new contract and getting divorced all left Tiki with a want to come back to football (and possibly a need for money). He criticized the team time and time again while he was gone, whether it was quarterback Eli Manning or coach Tom Coughlin.
Even though the Giants went through some troubles at running back last year, Tiki is not the answer. He’s worn down and beat up, and thats why he left the first time. The Giants already have one worn down running back, no need for another.
That leaves the Giants with two options. Try and find somebody to take him, or simply cut him. I think there could be a small market for Tiki out there and a couple of teams willing to take a chance. The Giants should NOT be one of those teams.
He may be the Giants all time leading rusher, but the 10,449 yards he has gained with the Giants should stay that way. Trade him, cut him, but don’t keep him.
