Dallas Mavericks Advance To NBA Finals

The Dallas Mavericks overcame yet another fourth quarter deficit to pick up a victory in game five over the Oklahoma City Thunder and advance to the NBA Finals. It is only the second time in team history that the team has advanced to the finals.

2006 was the last time that Dallas was present in the NBA Finals and only two players remain from that team — Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry.

The team will likely face off against the Miami Heat, who they faced in the 2006 finals, barring an unbelievable comeback by the Chicago Bulls. If Dirk can continue his hot streak he’s had the entire postseason, the Heat could be in serious trouble.
