“The Stack” 6-9-11

Hello everyone and welcome to today’s “The Stack” with me, Nathan Stacken.  A lot of technical difficulties yesterday and after trying at least ten times to blog on several computers, it just wasn’t meant to be, which stinks because there was a lot going on yesterday in the world of sports.  We’ll combine yesterday’s blog with today’s in a slightly longer version of “The Stack” so let’s get right to it.

1. Bruins shutout Canucks, even Stanley Cup Finals.

So, after those first two games in Vancouver, there were some people, including myself, that thought we would see a sweep in the Stanley Cup Finals.  Vancouver was getting all the breaks and Boston had no offense.  After the last two games in Boston, the opinions of many have changed.  The Boston Bruins beat the Vancouver Canucks 4-0 to even the Stanley Cup Finals 2-2.  Game five is Friday night in Vancouver at 8:00 ET on NBC.  For the second straight game, Roberto Luongo was pulled from the game after allowing several goals he should not have.  For the second straight game, Bruins goalie Tim Thomas got into a scrum in the front of the net with the Canucks.  And for the second straight game, there was a lot of fighting in this game and a lot of penalty minutes from both sides.  The finals have definitely gotten chippy and that makes for more entertaining hockey.  The Bruins outscored the Canucks 12-1 in Boston.  That is awful if you’re a Canucks fan.  Boston has all of the momentum and they are playing with such emotion and anger that you wonder if they can keep it up.  Game five will certainly be good and a must-see.

2. Terrelle Pryor leaves Ohio State, joining CFL?
