Terrell Owens tears ACL, probably ends career

Soon-to-be free agent wide receiver Terrell Owens has torn his ACL, Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports. Specifically, Owens had ACL surgery performed by Dr. James Andrews last month, and he could be out for six months, until late November. More than likely Owens will miss the 2011 season.
Owens is 37, and he will have a lot of trouble finding an interested team in late November. Owens would have to prove to a team that he is worth the risk of his ACL and trying to learn a new system. One thing is certain, he will never again receive a big money contract.
If Owens sits out the 2011 season, what would make teams want to sign him in 2012? The NFL moves on. Younger and cheaper options will be available, and what does T.O. really have left?.
