NFL players voted today (Monday) to OK a final deal on the owners-approved tentative agreement, and the sides finally managed to put an end to the 4 1/2 -month lockout.

“It’s been a long time coming. Football is back and that’s great news for everybody,” commissioner Roger Goodell said in a joint news conference with NFLPA leader DeMaurice Smith outside the NFLPA’s headquarters in Washington.
