There is no better way to build a team in the National Football League than through the draft. General managers and owners and head coaches scour the country to find the best college players.
Sometimes a team strikes gold, such as the Indianapolis Colts when they selected quarterback Peyton Manning with the first overall pick in the 1998 draft.
But sometimes a team finds disaster, like the San Diego Chargers in 1998 when they picked Ryan Leaf second–one pick after Peyton Manning.
