McNabb traded to Vikings for two sixth round picks

The Minnesota Vikings will trade a 2012 6th round pick, and a conditional 2013 6th round pick to the Washington Redskins for quarterback Donovan McNabb, Jay Glazer of FOXSports reports. For the deal to go through, McNabb must agree to sign a new contract with the Vikings.
Glazer added that the Vikings were hoping to get Tyler Thigpen, but he went to the Bills, and they were interested in Bruce Gradkowski, but they settled with McNabb. Meanwhile, the Redskins are trying to bring Matt Leinart in, but Leinart is also interested in the Seahawks, who already brought in former Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson.
McNabb will probably open the season as the Vikings starter, but expect Minnesota to take any opportunity to bench McNabb in favor of rookie first round pick Christian Ponder. Joe Webb will serve as the Vikings third quarterback.
