Whenever a player demands a new contract or to be traded it puts the team in a very difficult position, which is the case with DE Osi Umenyiora and the New York Giants. The team gave him permission to seek a trade setting the price tag at a first round pick. Although Umenyiora’s agent, Tony Agnone, found several suitors, there was apparently no one on board with giving up a first round pick for him.

So now the Giants have rescinded the permission given to Umenyiora to seek a trade, according to the Star-Ledger. He is no longer allowed to seek a trade which means that, for now, he’s a Giant.
