Jet’s Season: LET’S GET THIS BALL ROLLING

Welcome to the 2011 NFL Season fellow Jabbers. I wish I could say I believe the Jets are going “All The Way” this year but I was taught not to lie. Although I do believe the defense will hold its own, the offense is definitely suspect. I do like the offensive line but unfortunately they can’t run with the ball or go out as receivers.
The losses of Edwards and Cotchery really hurts and now that Burress looks like he’d be better off on his prison team Rex has a lot of work to do. The bright spot I think will be Keller especially since Sanchez will be scrambling as usual.
Mr. Happy Feet is in his make it or break it year. I hope he doesn’t end up being another David Woodley.
The Jets ranked 3rd WORST in red zone offense last year so we are going to need a lot of help with field goal scoring. I think the Jets defense has to hold teams to no more than 20 PPG to be any better than 9-7. We can live without Jason Taylor and I like the bookends of Wilkerson and Pitoitula and of course we do have Revis.
We have to hope the defense can force turnovers inside the 50 and Sanchez can get us to the 20. He may be good for 14 PPG in offense and then we need at least three FGs per game. With any major injuries the season could be over early. I don’t see much back up.
I have a feeling Scott agrees with me but like him I will still say J-E-T-S JETS, JETS, JETS.
