He was hitting .249, with 17 HR and 60 RBI. Apparently hitting only .230 over the past month though did him in. So that got me to wondering? Just how high are the expectations in Florida with the team sitting in last place in the National League East? The Arizona Diamondbacks offense features several players with worse, much worse numbers and they aren’t going anywhere.

Chris Young – .241, 17 HR, 57 RBI. Again, that batting average would be pure spoil for the fish in Florida.

Xavier Nady – .248, 4 HR, 35 RBI. It must be the intangibles that keep Nady around in Arizona. Now, he just sits on the DL nursing a broken hand.
