“The Stack” 10-12-11

Hello everyone and welcome to today’s “The Stack” with me, Nathan Stacken. We have a few different topics up for discussion today so let’s get right to it and see what made today’s “stack” after a very busy Tuesday.

1. Tim Tebow named Broncos starting quarterback.

Finally, Broncos fans have their wish. The Broncos named Tim Tebow their starting quarterback Tuesday morning in a move that has Broncos fans jumping for joy. Kyle Orton obviously isn’t happy about it and based on some comments from teammates, there appears to be mixed reaction. They know what Tebow brings, but it appears that they liked Orton and feel as though his benching was not all of his fault, but rather the team’s as a whole. If you heard John Elway‘s comments (watch bottom video), you feel as though they are resorting to Tebow as a last ditch effort and that it is the fans fault that Orton played bad, because the fans wanted Tebow and the pressure was too much for Orton. There is no doubt that Tebow provided a spark and some much needed energy to the team in the second half. Why head coach John Fox and Elway are so hellbent on not giving Tebow a chance to prove himself is beyond me. He’ll make his first start in a little less than two weeks at Miami. I’m sure we’ll hear plenty more between now and then about Tebow being the starting quarterback. Unfortunately, we’re all going to be sick of it by then.
