Brandon Lloyd Traded To St. Louis Rams, According To Report

The St. Louis Rams have acquired WR Brandon Lloyd from the Denver Broncos in a trade, NFL Network reports. Lloyd was widely believed to be on the trading block and the Broncos, 1-4, were reportedly looking for a mid round draft in return.
This move makes sense. The Rams get the receiver they’ve been looking for to help Sam Bradford and they get a guy that’s familiar with the system run by Rams offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.
Lloyd is entering the final year of his contract so that’s something to keep in mind with this trade. The Rams could be interested in extending his contract so that they don’t give up a draft pick only to see him play in St. Louis for 10 games. Lloyd is making just under $1.4 million this year.
Several teams were reportedly interested in Lloyd, the top receiver on the trade block and a couple of those teams were rumored to be the San Francisco 49ers and New England Patriots.
