Minnesota Vikings defensive back Chris Cook was arrested early Saturday morning for domestic assault.  The Vikings released a statement, according to the Star-Tribune, saying, “The Minnesota Vikings are aware of the incident involving Chris Cook. We take this matter very seriously and are still gathering all the details of the incident. We will not have any further comment at this time.”

Dan Wiederer of the Star Tribune reports it likely means Chris Cook is out for Sunday’s game. It’s another hit to an already depleted secondary with Antoine Winfield and safety Jamarca Sanford already listed as doubtful with injuries. This is Cook’s second run in with authorities this year. In March, Cook was arrested for pulling a gun on his neighbor, though he was found not guilty two months later.
