Fantasy Football Injury News, Week 9: Beanie Wells Expects Knee Issue To Last All Season

Arizona Cardinals running back Beanie Wells had to battle Sunday afternoon as he compiled 83 rushing yards and a touchdown on 22 rushes against the Baltimore Ravens. He finished with a respectable fantasy total, but the numbers were tough to come by for him as he continues to deal with his knee injury. Wells suffered a bruise last week and was questionable to play on Sunday.
After the game, Wells told the media that his knee injury is one that will probably bother him for most of the year. If that’s the case, it will be interesting to see how much he practices each week. He is likely to be somewhat limited this week and that also means he will probably be a bit of a game-time decision throughout the season. Wells is off to a strong start but has to show he can handle a full season as the main guy.
Wells faces a solid matchup next Sunday against the St. Louis Rams and will look to rest up enough to get the start. If he is forced to miss any more time this season, Alfonso Smith and LaRod Stephens-Howling will get the carries.
