At 5:24 of the first period, Sidney took control of the puck, warded off a couple defense man, and lifted a back hand shot over the left shoulder of Islanders Goalie Anders Nillson, and circled around, and let out a scream that could be heard through out the Arena “FUCK YEAH!”
Sidney Crosby is back!
Sidney is not your normal “Superstar”. He doesn’t demand superstar treatment, he doesnt bask in his own glory.
After the game Crosby saw himself and his reaction to the goal, “I just couldnt hold it in!”
This reaction wasnt typical of Crosby. But given what he has gone through in the last 328 days since he last skated in a game, Who could blame him?
Ten long months of headaches, dizziness and heartbreak, from consecutive concussions last January all came to a head, as Crosby dazzled the fans, coaches and players around the NHL.
four point, two goals and two assists, led the Penguins to a 5-0 victory over the Islanders.
The only way his first goal can be verbalized is “FUCK YEAH”!
Crosby showed the Hockey World that hes back. He also showed the world he is still the NHL’s best player. PERIOD.
Ovechkin is a great player..hes just not Crosby.
There are many very talented players in the NHL, but they all take a back seat to the 24 year old Crosby.
Look at his career, and what he has accomplished. Hes the ultimate team player, hes got incredible hands, great footwork, and feel of the game that hasnt been seen in many many years. Shades of Gretzky and Lemeuix.
