Oscar De La Hoya to Bob Arum: Stop lying to the people
The President of Golden Boy Promotions (GBP), Oscar De La Hoya, has insisted that Top Rank chief executive officer, Bob Arum, is deceiving the public regarding the ongoing negotiations for a dream-fight between eight-division world champion, Manny Pacquiao, and five-division world champion, Floyd Mayweather Jr.
“Bob Arum, please please stop lying to the public. Sit down with my CEO Richard (Schaefer) and make the big fight happen. Before Manny asks questions,” De La Hoya said.
Arum, who is promoter of the current World Boxing Organisation World Welterweight Champion (Super Champion), Pacquiao, wanted his man to fight the Mexican Dinamita, Juan Manuel Marquez, for a fourth-time but he not too long ago admitted a super-fight with the current World Boxing Council World Welterweight Champion, Mayweather, is his first priority.
However, the Golden Boy, De La Hoya, who during his time defeated 17 world champions and won ten world titles in six different weight classes, reckons Arum is lying to the public.
