There has been a lot of talk about tonight’s NFC East Division showdown between the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys.

I have purposely remained rather low-key about the game because I frankly don’t know what to expect from either team. After watching some pre-game analysis this morning on the NFL Network, I can no longer remain silent.

The talk this morning involved former Dallas great Michael Irvin, former 49ers and Lions head coach Steve Mariucci, former Rams running back Marshall Faulk and a former defensive lineman clown whose name I never can remember.

Irvin said it’s all about the legacy of Tony Romo and how the Dallas QB needs to finally step up and play well instead of making the kind of mistakes that have had people questioning his leadership in the past. Faulk mentioned that despite the Giants losing their past four consecutive games, they can jump right back into the NFC East lead with a win tonight. Coach Mariucci said legacies and inconsistencies in the past are not what is important tonight–tonight is all about taking the necessary big step to better your team’s chances of getting into the playoffs. And, I forgot what the clown said.
