The first week of the NBA season is underway and fantasy owners are scrambling to find hidden gems. Although it has only been one week, several players have had excellent starts to the fantasy season. In this list I’m ignoring the typical MVP candidates like LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant and Derrick Rose. Fantasy owners expect these players to be phenomenal. Several players are playing outstanding that owners did not previously expect.

Gerald Wallace

Wallace has started the year off hot has been a great fantasy player through his first three games. He’s averaging 19.7 points per game along with 7.7 rebounds. Wallace is a great fantasy player because he also contributes good statistics in three pointers, steals, and blocks. He’s a rare player that can help a fantasy team in every category across the board.
