Would the Hurricanes and Panthers make another deal?

spacekBruce Garrioch, of the Ottawa Sun, has been certainly keeping his finger(s) on the pulse of the Carolina Hurricanes. Recently he [Garrioch] speculated that the Florida Panthers could be seeking to add depth to their backend for what looks to be the teams first playoff run since 1999 – 2000. Garrioch wonders if the Panthers might target Jaroslav Spacek from the Carolina Hurricanes because he “fits the mould of what Panthers GM Dale Tallon is trying to add.“

The Hurricanes acquired Spacek from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for defenseman Tomas Kaberle. Jaroslav Spacek played 12 games this season with the Canadiens registering three assists. He has a +2 plus/minus differential, 12 hits and 25 blocked shots, playing an average of 15 minutes and 29 seconds per game.
