The Draft War Room: 2012 Running Back rankings (pre Combine)

I will be doing a top 5 for each position. And these rankings are pre-Combine. I reserve the right to change my mind later this month.
Running Back
1. Trent Richardson (Alabama, 5’11?, 220lbs)
The year that Mark Ingram won the Heisman trophy nearly all Alabama fans (and for that matter, fans of most other SEC schools) knew one thing… Richardson was a more dangerous running back and had a far brighter future. He is big. He is fast. He can break tackles. He can catch the ball out of the backfield. He is an excellent blocker. He was the focal point of the Alabama offense. Every other team gameplanned to stop him. And he still finished the season with 1,600+ rushing yards and 24 total touchdowns. I personally think that he is worthy of a top 10 selection and could go as early as fifth to the Buccaneers, although I think it’s a better bet that he goes in the early teens.
