The Dallas Cowboys have some important decisions to make regarding free agency with new and current players. Dallas needs to improve its secondary and offensive and defensive lines via free agency and/or the 2012 NFL Draft. The Cowboys also have several players who will be free to join other teams beginning on March 13, so Dallas must decide whether to try and keep those players or let them walk. The team is currently debating on whether to use the franchise tag on outside linebacker Anthony Spencer.

Word on the street, if you will, is Spencer will draw several lofty offers from other NFL teams if he becomes a free agent. While the Cowboys are also deciding on whether to switch to a 4-3 defense, the deadline to use the franchise tag is March 5. Dallas must decide on which player to use the franchise tag soon.
