This week the Top 6 remained in place, Kentucky continues to hold a grip on the Number 1 spot. Followed by Syracuse, Missouri, Duke, Michigan State and North Carolina. Three teams found their way out of the Top 20 in UNLV, Iowa State, and Virginia. Taking their places this week are newcomers New Mexico and California both leading their conferences heading into the final two weeks. Michigan returns as they have gotten hot lately with the play of Tre Burke settling into the point guard spot. Two weeks ago there was a log jam atop the Mountain West Conference with UNLV, San Diego State, and New Mexico. The Lobos have beaten both in last two weeks and have taken a 2 game lead to distance themselves from the pack.
