It’s now time to get into the big boy awards. Today we will look at our predictions for the American League and National League Cy Young award winners and tomorrow, we will get into predicting the MVP award winners.
Let’s get right into it.
Winner: Jered Weaver, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim
Weaver was on his way to having “that year” in 2011 when he got off to a 6-0 start with a 0.99 ERA in April. Then May hit, and Weaver went 0-4, and that ended that. Weaver was solid the rest of the way and finished the 2011 season with 18 wins, a 2.41 ERA, 7.6 K/9, and a 5.6 WAR.
