The Bowl Championship Series (BCS) is finally coming to its senses. On Thursday, the BCS released a two-page statement announcing eight proposals that the organization will consider in a Florida meeting that will be held April 24-26.
Of course, the only change in which college football fans are interested is a playoff for Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS and formally Division I-A) teams. It appears BCS executive director Bill Hancock has had a change of heart about how a playoff would “destroy” the value of the regular season, which also has no structure.
